2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - C230 Coupe
Pros: scrolling dash information, safety features
Cons: smallish engine
Advice: Ask about all the features and prices before you end negotiationsSafe and stylish. Everything you expect from a Mercedes.
2002 Chrysler Town and Country - EX FWD
Pros: Power sliding side and rear doors
Cons: Operability of the delayed headlght switch
Advice: Don't hesitate-get one. And get one with the 3.8L engine. You won't regret it.I am extremely pleased with the vehicle. My only minor problem to date is one where the fuel guage does not register correctly. There is more fuel in the tank than is shown on the guage, and the computer is also confused, thinking there is less than there really is when computing miles range and miles left until empty. Probably a defective sending unit in the tank which I will have addressed at the first scheduled maintenance visit.
2002 Saturn S-Series - SC2 (M5) Coupe
Pros: CD Player Standard
Cons: Prefer MP3 CD Player instead
Advice: Leather interior is nice.Did not test drive, my 3rd Saturn and handles and operates very similar to SL2 models previously owned.
2002 Nissan Maxima - GLE (A4)
Pros: Xenon HID lights
Cons: there was nothing that I did not like
Advice: test drive one and see for yourselfI test drove the new 2002 Maxima GLE and I decided to buy it. The 3.5 L engine is very powerful. Car handle nice and the brake well. Purchased it fully loaded for less than $30,000. The styling of this car make it stand out. I really like the Xenon HID lights that light up the night. The car is quite rommy but being a tall driver, I could use more leg room. I have always owned domestic vehicles and the build quality of Nissan's is execellant!!!! The car exceeded my expectations...
2002 Toyota Sequoia - SR5 4x4
Pros: Remote access to back window which goes up/down
Cons: big blind spot behind second row passenger side
Advice: you don't need the 'Limited' package. We have almost every feature but paid about 5k less.Love this SUV. Although it is large, it drives like a car. Handles well...doesn't feel like a big vehicle. Very comfortable. It doesn't fit in our garage but looks great in our driveway. Perfect size for our growing family. Very child seat friendly.
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LS 4x4
Cons: no room
Advice: Look before you leap! After test-driving this SUV I came back to the problems that I had when I owned a Blazer. If the back seat is folded down and I sit in the drivers seat, I am unable to move the driver’s seat back so I can sit with proper line of site of the road. I wish they would give six more inches between the rear seat folded down and the front. Also I noticed again that their is some type of equipment 'box' located above the passengers feet, should this SUV for the great outdoors not allow people with boats on to sit in the front without hitting the 'box'. I also found that the rear latch handle seems to be weak. We have decided to move on to a different SUV. Sorry, I thought the new design would catch these problem areas.
2002 Chevrolet Impala - LS
Pros: sporty appearance and On-Star
Cons: Some shifting slip in the overdrive between 50 & 60 mph when trying to hold at 55 mph
Advice: Encourage dealers to extend the 0% financing. Keep the industry manufacturing for at least 6 months to a year.Easy to handle, sporty feeling, excellent acceleration, comfortable seating for passengers in front and rear.
