2002 Buick Rendezvous - FWD
Pros: Most 'luxury' optons come standard in base model.
Cons: No power seats in base model
Advice: Consider this SUV if you are looking for a multi-functional vehicle which is not a gas guzzlerIt is a multi-functional vehicle. It rides like a luxury car but has cargo space like an SUV
2002 Volkswagen GTI - VR6 (EOP 9/16/01) (M5)
Pros: The VR6 Engine
Cons: Entry to the backseat is a bit weird
Advice: Wait for the 2002 version which is supposedly going to have even more horsesTraded in my $35,000 (96 prices) 3-series BMW for a 2001 GTI and this car kicks the BMW's ass. Have had the GTI for just over a year now and have had zero problems with the car and it is still a blast to drive. Quality, performance, comfort, style, and features are comparable or beat cars that are much more expensive.
2002 Oldsmobile Bravada - AWD
Pros: The quite ride.
Cons: The problems that have occurred with the computer.
Advice: It's a fine SUV and I would recommend it over all other SUV's.My purchase on 10/08/2001 has since had 2 occurences of computer problems. The first was with 325 miles on the vehicle and the second is now under repair at the dealer with 1625 miles on it.
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - LT 4x4
Pros: Power of the car for mountain driving.
Cons: To new to know
Advice: Drive it first then compare other similar SUV's to it's performanceHandles very will, very responsive on drive to Lake Tahoe. Comfort was great, did not feel tired when I got out of the car
2002 Hyundai Sonata - Base (M5)
Pros: the overall affordability
Cons: ABS not standard
Advice: go to a dealer to see and test drive yourself.Of all the cars we tested, this one really had it all. It looks great - I turn heads everywhere I go. The drive is so smooth and quiet - luxury quality. And with the 5 year/60k warranty, I will actually have it paid off before the warranty expires. This is the happiest I've ever been with a new car purchase. The best part, the closest Hyundai dealership is 60 miles from our town, so the salesman did all of our financing over the phone and then actually drove the car to us the same evening.
2002 Chevrolet Cavalier - LS Sedan
Pros: good gas mileage
Cons: head room
Advice: it is a great buy for he moneyThe car handled nicely. It is easy to park. It was also fun to drive. I am about 5'19' and could have used more headroom.
2002 Lincoln Navigator - 4x4
Cons: CENTER CONSOL TAKES UP TOO MUCH ROOM
Advice: TRY THR EXPEDITION FIRSTBIG POWERFULL AND GENERALLY SPACIOUS ALTHOUGH CENTER CONSOLE TAKES UP A LOT OF HIP ROOM. DETAIL ITEMS; DOOR FIT,PAINT ETC DOESN'T MATCH UP TO HIGH STANDARD IMPORTS
