The market for electric vehicles has really started cooking this year, with a baker’s dozen on sale now and more to come. But will any of them be able to outsell the crème de la crème of today’s EVs, the Chevy Volt, which led the way with 23,461 sales in 2012? The Blue Oval is certainly hoping so, and Autobytel readers think the new Ford C-MAX Energi—the plug-in version of the C-MAX proper—just may be the car to do it. Some 30 percent of you chose it as the most likely EV bestseller in 2013, followed closely by the Toyota RAV4 EV, at 27 percent. The up-and-coming Tesla Model S also continues to open eyes, attracting 14 percent of the vote to tie the Honda Fit EV for third place.
