Which car do you consider the ‘Best Bang for Your Buck’?
As Autobytel readers obviously understand, the modern-day muscle-car segment offers some of the best power-to-price ratios in the industry. Consider: The Ford Mustang GT and Chevy Camaro SS dominated our “Best Bang for Your Buck” poll, nearly doubling the number of votes captured by the next closest entries. The tale of the tape for the terrific twosome? The Camaro SS serves up 426 hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque for $32,635, and the Mustang GT provides 420 horses and 390 lb.-ft. of twist with a price of admission that starts at $30,750. To put those numbers in context, the car in third place, the Subaru WRX STi, requires a noticeably higher price to get much less power—an MSRP of $34,295 delivers a mere 305 hp and 290 lb.-ft. of torque in the Subie.
