Advanced technologies play a larger part in the auto industry than ever before, with the list of “gotta have” goodies continuing to grow longer and longer. At the top of that list? Navigation, which was voted the most important bit of technology inside a car by 40 percent of the respondents to our current Autobytel auto poll. Viking fans need not go berserk, however, as Bluetooth systems were No. 2 in the rankings, with 23 percent of the votes. From there, other top selections included a premium sound system (14 percent), smart key and/or passive start technologies (11 percent), OnStar-style personal assistance (6 percent), heated and cooled seats (3 percent), and wi-fi hot-spot functionality (3 percent).
