We recently celebrated Earth Day—which electric/hybrid vehicle interests you the most?
More than three decades after the first Earth Day celebration—back in 1970—the auto industry now offers a myriad of vehicles specifically designed to lighten their impact on the planet. Leading the way, of course, are today’s high-efficiency hybrid and electric vehicles, capable of more than 50 mpg while running on gasoline and able to reach the equivalent of more than 100 mpg while operating solely on electricity—and also emitting zero emissions.
Garnering the most interest from Autobytel readers, as well as nearly 36 percent of the votes in today’s poll, was the Chevy Volt, which also has defied its critics to become the most satisfying vehicle in the industry according to Consumer Reports. In second place, unsurprisingly, was the Toyota Prius, accumulating about 31 percent of the vote.
