What Is The Audi Innovation Package?

The Audi Innovation Package is an optional package available on some of Audi's cars. The Innovation Package includes Audi's night vision assistant with pedestrian detection and a head-up display. The night vision assistant uses a thermal camera to scan the area in front of the vehicle. The system is capable of detecting pedestrians 50 to 300 feet in front of the car and will display a yellow warning on the color head-up display to warn the driver. If the system believes that there is a risk of collision the warning will change from yellow to red. The head up display can also show data such as vehicle speed, navigation information, warning messages, and active cruise control settings, helping the driver keep their eyes on the road.
