With the arrival of cooler weather (and with pothole season waiting as eagerly as we are for warmer temperatures), Mopar is offering Road Hazard Tire & Wheel Plans and all-weather accessories to help reduce the bite of the harsh winter elements.

The Mopar Vehicle Protection (MVP) Road Hazard Tire & Wheel Plans provide full repair or replacement costs (up to $1,500 per year for all four wheels and tires), not only for factory wheels, but also for aftermarket wheels. Plans are available for model year 2003 or newer vehicles with less than 100,000 miles on the clock, with coverage ranging from one to seven years. The MVP Road Hazard Protection Plan covers damage from curbs, potholes, and other road hazards, and also covers the cost of valve stems, mounting, and balancing (and if the tire pressure sensor gauge is damaged due to a road hazard, that’s covered as well). The plan even provides $100 “Sign-And-Go” towing and roadside assistance, and a $0 deductible per repair visit. Additionally, you get the choice of a Customer Convenience Package which provides additional coverage, including a $35 first day rental (or taxi reimbursement), $35/day car rental allowance (or taxi reimbursement), and $1,000 in trip interruption coverage.

Winter accessories available from Mopar include a heated windshield washer solvent kit, which warms up the windshield washer fluid to eliminate frost, snow, and ice. The kit activates shortly after vehicle startup and includes all necessary equipment and wiring. The Mopar Remote Start system is a fully integrated, OEM tested solution that is capable of starting vehicles from up to 300 feet away. The system is designed to work with Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, or RAM vehicles, and interfaces with the vehicle’s electronic security key.

For those who like to stay active in the winter, the Mopar Ski and Snowboard rack installs on Mopar or Thule crossbars, and securely carries skis or snowboards. An oversized push button is designed to allow opening even while wearing gloves. Mopar All-Weather Slush Mats have deep molded ribs to capture water, snow, and mud to help protect your vehicle’s carpet and keep it clean after a long day on the slopes. Mopar also offers winter tires to help get you safely to and from the hill’s parking lot, offering almost 350 winter tire fitments. Mopar winter tire applications are available for all company vehicles, as well as for most competitors' makes and models, with brands including BF Goodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Michelin, Pirelli, and Yokohama.
