The 2010 Lincoln MKT is a full-size luxury crossover that looks like nothing else on the road. With a wide, toothy grille and an almost organic body shape, the Lincoln MKT dares to be different in an area of the market where conservative designs are common. The brand-new crossover offers exceptional interior room, with 76 cubic feet of total cargo space on tap along with seating for as many as seven passengers. The vehicle is loaded with standard equipment such as HID headlights, rear parking sensors, heated and ventilated power leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a hard drive for storing digital music files, HID headlights and the SYNC interface to add voice control to many of the MKT's systems. A power liftgate and a rearview camera are also present and accounted for and options include a navigation system and adaptive cruise control, as well as DVD entertainment for rear seat passengers.
The 2010 Lincoln MKT sees a 3.5-liter V-6 installed in its base model, and this engine puts out a healthy 268 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission featuring manual shifting capabilities is also included and all-wheel drive is optional. The EcoBoost edition of the Lincoln MKT makes use of a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 that has been tuned to provide 355 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choice remains the same, while all-wheel drive is included free of charge. Fuel mileage for the entry-level crossover is rated at 17 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway, and the EcoBoost model drops only one mile per gallon from each respective figure.
