September 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 Deals
The 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 is a full-size pickup truck that is aimed at buyers interested in a work rig that can double as a comfortable daily driver. The GMC Sierra Crew Cab and Extended Cab models each offer additional seating for as many as three rear passengers in addition to an extra set of rear doors (full-size on Crew Cab models). The Extended Cab can be outfitted with either a five-foot, eight-inch box or a full eight-foot box, while the Crew Cab's cargo area is restricted to the smaller of the two options. Although more modestly equipped editions of the truck are available, the Crew Cab offers access to the Denali trim level, which provides a comprehensive list of luxury features and conveniences such as a heated steering wheel and slick exterior styling to go with items like rain-sensing windshield wipers and full leather seats with front heaters.
Engine choices for the 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 range from a 4.3-liter V-6 (195 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque), to a 4.8-liter V-8 (295 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque) all the way up to a 5.3-liter V-8 (315 horsepower and 338 lb-ft of torque). A four-speed automatic handles the gear shifting duties for the first two engines, while the 5.3-liter is matched with a six-speed automatic. Fuel mileage for the three motors hovers around the 15 miles per gallon in the city and 20 miles per gallon on the highway range, with some variation depending upon which body style and engine choice is selected, as well as whether the option of four-wheel drive is ordered. The Denali trim gains a special 6.2-liter V-8 engine that cranks out 403 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque, which is put to the pavement through an available all-wheel drive system and a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel mileage for this version of the GMC Sierra drops to 12 miles per gallon around town and 19 miles per gallon on the highway.
