September 2010 Ford Transit Connect Deals
The 2010 Ford Transit Connect is a unique compact van that can be ordered in both passenger and cargo editions. Intended to offer much of the storage and utility of a larger vehicle while maintaining pint-sized fuel efficiency and maneuverability, the Ford Transit Connect is currently the only option in its class. The van is capable of lugging 135 cubic feet of cargo when properly equipped, and it features dual sliding doors, air conditioning, cloth seats and a bench seat for rear occupants when ordered in the base four-passenger model. It is possible to upgrade the Transit Connect to a five-passenger edition and also add items such as power windows and door locks, cruise control and a CD player. More high tech options include a touchscreen computer inset into the dash that is intended to appeal to freight companies and small businesses, as well as a vehicle tracking system, the DeWalt inventory system, wireless internet and a navigation system.
The 2010 Ford Transit Connect features a frugal four-cylinder engine as its sole drivetrain option. The 2.0-liter motor generates 138 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, and while not especially quick it does provide fuel mileage of 20 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway, which is leagues ahead of larger utility vans. A four-speed automatic transmission handles the vehicle's gear shifting duties.
There is a financing incentive of 0.0% interest plus $500.00 cash back or $1,500.00 total cash back on the 2010 Ford Transit Connect effective until 10/4/2010. See more new car rebates and incentives for September.
