September 2010 Dodge Challenger Deals

The 2010 Dodge Challenger is a retro-styled muscle coupe that also features a more affordable, entry-level drivetrain for commuters who want all of the car's looks without the higher V-8 fuel bill. The large two-door Dodge Challenger starts out in SE trim, which offers power windows and door locks, air conditioning and a CD player. The next-in-line R/T edition upgrades to larger wheels, a stiffer suspension, mood lighting throughout the interior and a more aggressive exterior appearance. The SRT8 version of the Dodge Challenger is focused on pure performance, and it includes a flagrant striping and scoop package on the vehicle's hood, a more finely-tuned suspension system, 20-inch wheels and leather seats. HID headlights, large Brembo brakes and a unique computer display that offers up G force readings, braking information and acceleration times are also part of the SRT8 package.

The 2010 Dodge Challenger SE's power plant is a 250 horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 that is also capable of generating 250 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic is the only transmission that can be matched to this engine, and fuel economy comes in at 17 miles per gallon in city driving and 25 miles per gallon on the highway. The R/T features a much more potent, 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that is rated at 372 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission represent the available gearbox options, and fuel economy shows as an impressive 16 miles per gallon around town and 25 miles per gallon during highway cruising thanks to the vehicle's advanced engine management features. The Challenger SRT8 gains the most powerful engine of all, a 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 that grinds out 425 ponies and 420 lb-ft of torque. Fitted with either a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual tranny, the SRT8 returns fuel mileage of 14 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway.
