November 2010 Nissan Sentra Deals
The 2010 Nissan Sentra is a compact sedan that focuses on providing value to first time car buyers or commuters looking for a reliable daily driver. Like most compact economy cars, the Nissan Sentra is available in a low feature 2.0 base edition, but items such as air conditioning, power windows and door locks and a CD player are included free of charge. Upgrading to the 2.0 S adds equipment such as cruise control, larger steel wheels, keyless entry and an upgraded stereo system, while moving to the top of the line Nissan Sentra 2.0 SL loads the vehicle up with alloy wheels, Bluetooth integration, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and satellite radio. A sunroof and heated leather seats can be added as options. Two high performance editions of the Nissan Sentra - the SE-R and the SE-R Spec V - can also be ordered, with each improving on the appearance and handling of the sedan through the addition of sporty trim, stiffer suspension systems and additional gauge packages.
The 2010 Nissan Sentra starts out with a 2.0-liter engine that is good for 140 horsepower and 147 lb-ft of torque. Matched with a six-speed manual transmission or an available continuously-variable automatic, the small motor provides fuel economy that is rated at 27 miles per gallon in stop and go driving and 34 miles per gallon on the highway. The Sentra SE-R is outfitted with a 2.5-liter motor that puts out 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque, while the SE-R Spec V offers up 200 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque out of a similar-sized unit. While the SE-R shares its transmission options with the standard Sentra (adding steering wheel-mounted shifted paddles when the CVT is selected), the SE-R Spec V is six-speed only. Fuel mileage for the SE-R shows as 24 miles per gallon city and 30 miles per gallon highway, while the SE-R Spec V drops three and two miles per gallon from each respective measure.
