The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander is a crossover SUV that was restyled for the 2010 model year, and it can accommodate 73 cubic feet of total cargo space or up to seven passengers. The Mitsubishi Outlander adopts the same jet fighter-inspired look found on the Mitsubishi Lancer sedan, giving it a sportier appearance than some of its compact competitors. The Outlander has also seen its handling tweaked in order to improve responsiveness and road-holding. The entry-level Mitsubishi Outlander comes with items such as air conditioning, power windows and door locks and cruise control. Notable equipment found on higher Outlander trim levels includes the FUSE hands-free calling and voice command system, automatic climate control, a third row of seating, HID headlights and a sunroof.
The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander starts out with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque. Fuel mileage for this motor comes in at 21 miles per gallon in stop and go driving and 27 miles per gallon on the highway, thanks in part to the use of a continuously-variable automatic transmission. The top two Outlander trims - XLS and GT - feature a V-6 engine that displaces 3.0-liters. The unit produces 230 horsepower and 215 lb-ft of torque, and the shifting duties are performed by a six-speed automatic. Fuel mileage for the 3.0-liter engine shows as 19 miles per gallon around town and 25 miles per gallon during highway cruising. All-wheel drive can be ordered on any edition of the crossover.
