2013 Ford Flex
The 2013 Ford Flex has been given an update on its surf wagon styling, bringing its design even further into the modern age. The seven-passenger Ford Flex crossover now features a dramatically revised front fascia, but it still maintains its slab sides and the practicality of its 83 cubic feet of total cargo space.
The 2013 Ford Flex starts out with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine under the hood that can be counted on to generate 285 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. It's also possible to upgrade to an EcoBoost version of this same motor, which introduces twin turbochargers and a power rating of 355 horses and 350 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is optional with the entry-level Flex and standard with EcoBoost, and a six-speed automatic transmission handles the shifting duties for each engine. Fuel mileage for the naturally-aspirated mill is listed at 18-mpg city and 25-mpg highway.

2013 Kia Forte Koup
The 2013 Kia Forte Koup presents a stylish option for those seeking an affordable, compact two-door automobile. The Kia Forte Koup also comes with a healthy amount of available equipment, as is standard operating procedure with the Korean brand.
The 2013 Kia Forte Koup is initially offered with a 2.0-liter-four-cylinder engine that is good for 156 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque, along with fuel economy figures of 27-mpg city and 37-mpg highway. Choosing the sportier Forte Koup SX means replacing the smaller motor with 2.4-liter unit that puts out 165 horsepower and 161 lb-ft of torque while dropping fuel mileage to 23-mpg city and 32-mpg highway. Each can be had with the choice of either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

2012 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet
The 2012 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet is perhaps the most unusual crossover on the market, as this mid-size people mover can haul up to four passengers with the top folded down. The Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet packs a big trunk that makes it feasible to travel longer distances than with some convertibles and it offers decent interior room to boot.
The 2012 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet is equipped with a 265 horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6. Also capable of generating 248 lb-ft of torque, this motor returns fuel mileage of 17-mpg in stop and go driving and 22-mpg on the highway thanks to the inclusion of a continuously-variable automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is included free of the charge with the Murano CrossCabriolet.

2013 Dodge Dart
The 2013 Dodge Dart is a capable compact sedan competitor that fuses European design from Alfa Romeo with American styling from Chrysler. The Dodge Dart is roomy, easy on the eyes, and can also be had with a trick TFT digital dashboard that is unlike anything else in its class.
The 2013 Dodge Dart can be ordered with one of a trio of four-cylinder engines. The most affordable is a 2.0-liter mill that provides 160 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque, while the mid-tier unit is a 1.4-liter, turbocharged mill good for 160 horses and 184 lb-ft of twist. The Dodge Dart R/T features a 2.4-liter motor that grinds out 184 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. Fuel mileage is most impressive for the turbocharged four-cylinder (27-mpg city / 39-mpg highway), and each engine can be had with the choice of either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.

2012 Mitsubishi Lancer
The 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer is aimed at entry-level compact sedan shoppers who are looking for a bit of a sporty edge in their commuter car without having to pay a whole lot extra. When ordered in the Ralliart trim, the Mitsubishi Lancer is quite competitive against other performance-oriented small vehicles.
Most versions of the 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer come with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that offers up 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, along with fuel mileage that checks in at 26-mpg city and 34-mpg highway. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual and a continuously-variable automatic. The Lancer SE features a 168 horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder motor that also provides 167 lb-ft of torque, and this model makes all-wheel drive and the CVT standard. The Lancer GT comes with the same motor (front-wheel drive only, choice of manual or CVT tranny), and delivers fuel mileage of 23-mpg city and 30-mpg highway. The top-tier Ralliart benefits from the introduction of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that cranks out 237 ponies and 253 lb-ft of twist. A six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission and all-wheel drive come free of charge with the Lancer Ralliart, and fuel mileage drops precipitously to 18-mpg around town and 25-mpg on the highway.
