April's rebates and incentives landscape is starting out well for anyone looking for a deal on a new car or a new truck. This week, we begin our list of rebates and incentives with the 2013 Ford Escape compact crossover, which features a zero percent financing offer plus an available $1,000 in cash back. Next up is the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro compact coupe, which can be had with either 0.0% financing or $1,000 in factory cash rebates, followed by the compact 2013 Kia Forte Koup, which gives buyers the choice between 1.9% financing plus $1,000 cash back or a straight $1,000 cash back incentive. The final two vehicles on our most recent round-up are the 2013 Dodge Avenger mid-size sedan (0.0% financing or $3,000 cash back) and the 2013 Nissan cube compact crossover ($500 in factory cash rebates).

2013 Ford Escape
The 2013 Ford Escape is all-new for the current model year, and the compact crossover updates its looks and driving experience to be less truck-like and more sleek and comfortable. The Ford Escape also features a larger interior that can seat five passengers or haul up to 68.1 cubic feet of cargo.
The 2013 Ford Escape starts out with a 168 horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood. An upgrade exists in the form of an EcoBoost turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder motor that puts out 178 horses and 184 lb-ft of torque, and the top-tier Escape is gifted with a larger 2.0-liter, turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder mill that produces 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Of the three engines, the 1.6-liter returns the best fuel mileage (23-mpg in city driving / 33-mpg on the highway), and both turbocharged motors can be outfitted with all-wheel drive. A six-speed automatic transmission comes standard with each version of the Escape.

2013 Chevrolet Camaro
The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro provides the choice between drag-strip terror and stylish daily driver for buyers on a budget. The Chevrolet Camaro's base model is easy on the eyes and quite affordable, and even the performance-oriented SS edition keeps its price within the realm of the attainable for most new car shoppers.
The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro is initially outfitted with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that is rated at a healthy 323 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. 2013 Kia Forte Koup
The 2013 Kia Forte Koup is an economical choice as a daily driver for those who don't want a hatchback or a sedan. The compact Kia Forte Koup's attractive lines and high level of standard equipment give it a value advantage when compared against some of its competitors.
The most efficient drivetrain available with the 2013 Kia Forte Koup is the base model's 156 horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, matched with its optional six-speed automatic transmission and the available Eco package. This bumps fuel mileage up to 27-mpg city and 37-mpg highway (a six-speed manual is standard with the car). The SX trim level improves acceleration thanks to its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 173 horses and 168 lb-ft of torque. Fuel mileage for the Forte Koup SX is listed at 23-mpg around town and 32-mpg on the highway, and it also benefits from the choice between a six-speed autobox or a six-speed manual transmission.

A 3.6-liter V-6 debuts in the Avenger R/T, and its 283 horses and 260 lb-ft of torque go a long way towards waking up the sedan's performance. Fuel economy for the six-cylinder Avenger, which is mated to a six-speed automatic tranny, is listed at 19-mpg city and 29-mpg highway.

2013 Nissan Cube
