The 2011 Nissan Pathfinder is a larger mid-size sport-utility vehicle that retains much of the rugged off-road image that has made it a favorite amongst those seeking a balance between daily driver practicality and trail-driving capability. The Nissan Pathfinder can tow up to 7,000 lbs, haul seven passengers across three rows of seating and stow a maximum of 79 cubic feet of cargo with those same accommodations folded forward. All versions of the Pathfinder come with power windows and door locks, air conditioning and cruise control, while higher trim levels provide features such as dual automatic climate control with rear air conditioning, heated leather seats, a sunroof and a navigation system.
The 2011 Nissan Pathfinder is initially equipped with a 266 horsepower, 4.0-liter V-6 engine that also generates 288 lb-ft of torque. This unit is yoked to a five-speed automatic transmission, and returns fuel mileage of 15 miles per gallon around town and 22 miles per gallon on the highway. The top tier Pathfinder LE comes with a 5.6-liter V-8 engine that grinds out 310 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, dropping fuel economy by two and four miles per gallon for each respective measure. Transmission choice remains the same as for the V-6, and all Pathfinders models can be ordered with optional four-wheel drive.
There is a financing incentive of 0.0% interest or $2,000 cash back on the 2011 Nissan Pathfinder effective until 01/03/2011. See more new car rebates and incentives for December.
