December 2010 Dodge Charger Deals

The 2010 Dodge Charger full-size sedan is in its last model year before a major update, but it still offers intriguing value for family car shoppers interested in a platform with a wide range of different personalities. The Dodge Charger offers seating for five passengers and a well laid out interior across the entire lineup, and features such as power windows and door locks, air conditioning and a CD player can be found on even the least expensive models. Additional gear such as heated leather seats, a sport suspension and a navigation system can also be found while moving through the different Charger trim levels.

The real story behind the 2010 Dodge Charger, however, has to do with its engine options. The entry-level Charger comes with a 2.7-liter, four-cylinder that provides 178 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque while returning 18 miles per gallon around town and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard. Next up is a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that is tuned to offer 250 ponies and 250 lb-ft of torque while posting fuel mileage numbers that are only one mile per gallon lower for each respective measure when compared against the smaller motor. A five-speed auto takes the place of the four-speed transmission. The Dodge Charger R/T ups the fun quotient through the introduction of a 5.7-liter HEMI engine that grinds out 368 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, while offering fuel mileage that is almost identical to that of the V-6. A five-speed automatic remains the transmission of choice, and like the V-6 the HEMI can also be had with optional all-wheel drive. The performance king in the Charger lineup is the SRT8 model, which features a 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 that develops 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque and uses a five-speed automatic transmission to send that power to the pavement. Fuel economy for this edition of the Charger is rated at 13 miles per gallon in the city and 19 miles per gallon on the highway.

There is a financing incentive of 0.0% interest plus $1,000 cash back or $4,000 total cash back on the 2010 Dodge Charger effective until 12/31/2010. See more new car rebates and incentives for December.
