The 2010 Nissan Maxima represents the Japanese brand's flagship full-size sedan, and as such it offers a wide range of comfort and convenience features for both the driver and passengers. The Nissan Maxima S is nicely equipped, offering dual automatic climate control, power front seats, a sunroof, cruise control and power windows and door locks. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and Bluetooth integration are also included free of charge. The Maxima SV dresses things up with fog lights, leather seats, a Bose stereo system and satellite radio. It also makes available several options packages, which are capable of installing items such as HID headlights, a dual-panel sunroof, a sportier suspension system and even a voice-activated navigation feature that also incorporates a hard drive for digital music storage.
All versions of the 2010 Nissan Maxima leave the factory featuring the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine. With 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque on tap, the Maxima is a solid front-wheel drive performer. The only transmission available with the V-6 is a continuously-variable automatic, but it does offer six virtual gears which can be accessed via optional steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. Fuel mileage for the large sedan shows as 19 miles per gallon in city driving and 26 miles per gallon on the highway.
