All of the usual suspects are here from the big names you would associate with elegance and style. The sexiest cars list for 2013 is made mostly of exotics and luxury cars with a muscle car and a few convertibles thrown into the mix for fun. Some of these models may be new to you and then there are some you have no doubt salivated over. Now pour yourself a nice glass of wine, put on your best silk pajamas, eat some green M&M’s, and enjoy the 10 sexiest cars for 2013.

10) Jaguar F-Type

There is a new car on the market and it can sure purr. The F-Type is first two-seater sports car in decades to come out of the Jaguar factory. Much of the design that was seen on the Jaguar C-X16 concept car has made its way onto the F-Type. This English roadster is set to take on the best that Germany has to offer which includes the BMW Z4, Mercedes SLK, Audi TT, and Porsche Boxster. The goal here is to create a fun and powerful roadster with an eye catching design both inside and out. On the outside the Jaguar F-TYPE has a couple of sexy lines and aggressive vents. There is a lot going on up front with the hood bulge, LED headlights, gills, and splitter. Somehow though the designers have created a stunning masterpiece. Outback the stainless steel dual exhaust and active rear spoiler look the part of a powerful roadster. The new F-Type will have a couple of available engine choices that range from a 3.0 supercharged V-6 that makes 335 horsepower to a huge 5.0 liter supercharged V-8 that puts out 488 horsepower and 461 lb-ft. of torque. The F-Type is dramatically smaller and lighter than the current stable of cars from Jaguar weighing just over 3500 pounds. Pairing the lightweight roadster chassis with the monster V-8 will no doubt result in some fun times. Prices start at $69,000 for the base and top out at about $92,000 for that sexy V-8.

9) Audi RS 5

The Audi A5 is definitely one of the best looking luxury coupes on the market. Audi has a line of high performance vehicles called the S-Line which stands for Sport and these cars are even sexier than their base-model brethren. These vehicles are equipped with powerful engines and the world famous Quattro all-wheel drive system. Turning it up a notch is the RS-Line of vehicles; the RS stands for Renn Sport in German which translates to Racing Sport. The Audi RS 5 has been on the European market for a few years now and finally this model has made its way to the U.S. Shores. 8) Fisker Karma

The Fisker Karma is a car that is seemingly always grabbing headlines for better or for worse. From production delays to test drive break downs to recalls, the Karma has had its fair share of growing pains. But in the end this hybrid may just be one of the most polarizing and definitely one of the sexiset cars on the road today. This beauty was designed by Henrik Fisker who is known for his design contributions to Aston Martin and BMW. The exterior of the Fisker was inspired by nature so they say and this theme extends throughout the interior. What makes this vehicle so sexy is the long low-slung stance with huge 22-inch wheels set at the very edges of the car. Dubbed an “EVer”, the Fisker Karma is an Electric Vehicle with Extended Range capabilities. This means the Karma can run on electric power alone for about 30 miles. Then when the juice runs out there is a GM sourced 2.0 liter turbocharged Ecotec engine that can power the car for the remainder of your drive. So like the Volt, Karma owners will never suffer from range anxiety. There are 2 electric motors on board that bump the power level to over 400 horsepower and an incredible 959 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy figures stand at 54 MPGe which is better than most hybrids but less than other electric cars. Remember though that the Fisker Karma is a true luxury sports sedan and with that comes the added weight of high end features and amenities, not to mention the gobs of power this sexy car produces. Base price on a Fisker Karma is $102,000 but you do get cool novelty items like wood trim that comes from sunken tress, a solar panel roof, and paint made with reclaimed glass flakes.

7) Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Roadster

The Mercedes-Benz SL dates all the way back to 1954 and still today, the 6th generation has the ability to dazzle car buyers around the world. Over the past few decades, Mercedes has not relied on crazy attention grabbing design elements; instead the look of the SL is seemingly timeless no matter the generation. This sexy roadster shares some of the same styling cues like the signature grille and character lines found on other Mercedes vehicles. Overall though, the Mercedes SL looks sleek and modern. The retractable hardtop roof (made from lightweight magnesium) is 13 lbs. lighter than the outgoing model. In fact the entire car is almost 300 lbs. lighter than the 5th generation thanks to the fact that the car’s structure is 89% aluminum. The SL roadster is packed with tons of technology, luxury amenities, and safety features. There are 3 different engine options depending on which model you buy. Power ranges from 429 horsepower to 621 horsepower as does price with the base SL550 starting at $105,500 and the SL65 AMG topping out at $212,240.

6) Maserati GranTurismo MC

The Maserati GranTurismo first debuted as a 2008 model and the design has not changed too much. Pinenfarina is responsible for the original design of the GranTurismo but the MC model has a bunch of new exterior tweaks that were influenced by the racing department. At speeds exceeding 120 MPH, the new aerodynamic details add way more downforce compared to the GranTurismo S model. It’s these exterior enhancements that make the Maserati MC one sexy car. There is a nice helping of carbon fiber components which add to the "wow factor" of this luxury sports car. Upfront the splitter is carbon fiber and out back the rear diffuser which houses the dual exhaust is also made from carbon fiber. Under the hood is a 4.7 liter V-8 capable of producing 444 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. The GranTurismo MC has a base price of $142,900 and combines racing knowledge, lightweight parts, and a big engine into one sexy package making this car the fastest and most powerful production car to ever come from Maserati.

5) BMW M6 Gran Coupe

With the enormous success of the Audi A7 and the Porsche Panamera, BMW was left with no direct competition to those vehicles here in the U.S. The closest the Bavarian Automaker had was the X6 which is a confused crossover and the 5-Series Gran Turismo which are not very sexy at all. But thankfully we now have the Gran Coupe which is essentially a coupe with four doors that combines a sporty design with an elegant exterior. The Gran Coupe though is not all about the outside appeal. The interior has been given the once over and the result is more yacht then automobile. BMW says “power meets beauty” in the M6 Gran Coupe and the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V-8 engine more than lives up to that phrase with its 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft. of torque. The base price on this bad boy is $113,000 and with that comes a ton of high-end technological features like the BMW Head-Up Display, Night Vision, Bang & Olufsen sound system, and more.

4) McLaren MP4-12C

Back in the 1990’s McLaren made a name for themselves outside the racing world with the F1 which was the company’s street legal car. The F1 held the fastest production car record for almost a decade until the Bugatti Veyron claimed the title. Now we get what could be called the best all-around exotic car in the world: the sexy McLaren MP4-12C. The engineers at McLaren were not bound by any rules; instead they were able to use the many years of racing heritage and experience gained on the track and translate that knowledge into a unique sports car. On the outside a team worked with Computational Fluid Dynamics in the wind tunnel to maximize every inch of the MP4-12C. Obsessed with weight, the basis of the MP4-12C is a MonoCell carbon fiber chassis. The engine is a twin-turbo 3.8 liter V-8 that makes 616 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. of torque which allows the MP4-12C to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 3.1 seconds. The doors are a cross between scissor and gullwing doors which McLaren calls Dihedral. This British sports car is both sexy and unique with a price tag of $239,400.

3) SRT Viper

The most iconic muscle car of our generation is back with a vengeance. The new SRT Viper looks familiar enough but the updated design cues make for one menacing snake. This sexy monster is all about brute force and at 8.4 liters; the Viper’s V-10 motor is the largest production engine of any car sold in America. With all this displacement comes a great deal of horsepower and torque, again the most of any naturally aspirated car. The Viper’s power plant is good for 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft. of torque. The SRT Viper utilizes launch control to put the huge amount of torque to the pavement. 0-60 MPH times are in the low 3 second range. The design is very abrupt and aggressive, evolving from the past generation Viper. Yet all the elements are functional from the vents in the hood to the double bubble roof. The structure of the car is light and stiff with a nearly perfect weight distribution. Combine a low base price of $97,395 with a spectacular amount of performance and the new SRT Viper is destined to be a hit.

2) Aston Martin Vanquish

Hands down Aston Martin has the sexiest line-up of automobiles on the market. Every single car in their stable: past, present, and future all look amazing. The latest and greatest iteration is the Vanquish which replaces the DBS. The new Vanquish will have an even more powerful 5.9 liter V-12 engine that makes 565 horsepower and 460 lb-ft. of torque. Although the design is not a radical departure from the current Aston Martin line-up, there are some subtle styling cues like the elongated side strakes and tight waist which have trickled down from the One-77 supercar. A plethora of carbon fiber is used throughout the Vanquish and is most evident on the exterior front lip spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser. The interior makes good use high quality materials like Bridge of Weir Luxmil Leather and Alcantara. The attention to detail and hand stitched trim is what makes Aston Martin Vanquish a true luxurious GT car. The $279,995 price tag seems about right in the company of such sexy exotic cars.
