Sunroofs are a great way to let natural light into a car, but with a traditional sunroof, only people in the front row of the car can enjoy the view above. That’s why the panoramic sunroof—also known as the dual-pane sunroof—is such a great invention: It extends the glass roof back to the second row, so that back-seaters can enjoy extra daylight and a view of the sky or the stars. Here, presented in alphabetical order, are 10 great cars that feature a panoramic sunroof.

Audi A3

The A3 is Audi’s entry-level model, and for a German luxury car, it’s surprisingly affordable. Building a prestigious car to a budget price means picking and choosing features carefully, but the A3’s product planners were very generous with standard features—and that’s why we’re pleased to tell you that a panoramic sunroof comes standard on the A3, along with other desirable features such as leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control. We love the way the A3’s cabin is finished, so open up that sunroof and enjoy the attention to detail in all that sunlight.

Chrysler 300

The 300 is another favorite of ours, a big rear- or all-wheel drive sedan with a luxurious interior, lots of power, and an aggressive attitude. But with its high beltline and narrow windows, the 300’s cabin can feel a little cave-like, so a dual-pane sunroof is a nice addition. Chrysler offers a panoramic roof in all versions of the car; it’s optional on the 300 Limited and 300S and standard equipment on the 300C and 300C Platinum.

Fiat 500L

We’ve heard people liken the 500L to driving a fishbowl; we agree, and we don’t think that’s necessarily an insult. Fiat’s funky family wagon has big windows that let in lots of light, and with the addition of a panoramic sunroof, it’s almost like driving in a convertible—but without the weather. The sunroof can’t be had in the base-model 500 Pop, but it’s standard equipment in the Trekking and Lounge models.

Ford F-150

Twenty years ago, the idea of a pickup truck with any sort of sunroof was a preposterous idea—but now the F-150 Crew Cab can be had with glass up top, at least in the top-of-the-line model. We could go on about how pickup trucks are becoming family cars for a lot of Americans, and how it makes perfect sense that such desirable features would make their way into America’s best-selling pickup… but we just can’t get over the fact that this is a friggin’ pickup truck with a friggin’ panoramic sunroof!

Hyundai Veloster

You’d expect to find nice-to-have features like a panoramic sunroof in more expensive cars, and for the most part you’d be right; it’s generally limited to nicer cars. But there are affordable vehicles that feature panoramic roofs, and one of them is the funky little Hyundai Veloster. Hyundai is making this feature even more affordable for 2017 by adding it to a new model called the Veloster Value Edition, which bundles the big sunroof, automatic climate control, keyless ignition, and a touch-screen stereo with navigation for a very reasonable $21,350.

Kia Cadenza

Though Kia is not a luxury brand, per se, the Kia Cadenza does a great imitation of a luxury car. Freshly redesigned for 2017, the Cadenza takes the Audi-meets-Ikea vibe of the smaller Optima and stretches it out into a bigger, roomier vehicle, with lots of luxury features on offer. A panoramic sunroof is, of course, on the list—it’s optional on the entry-level Premium model and standard on Technology and Limited trims.

Lincoln MKZ

Lincoln’s midsize MKZ is a luxury car that marches to the beat of its own drummer. We like its smooth styling, teardrop shape, roomy interior, and especially its road manners—you might not believe it, but the MKZ can really hustle down a curvy road. Naturally, Lincoln offers the MKZ with a long list of options, including a panoramic sunroof—but you’ll have to pop for the mid- or high-level models to get it.

Lincoln MKC

We tried to pick just one Lincoln for this list—honestly, we really tried—but we were stuck between the MKZ and the MKC, two Lincolns of which we are rather fond. The MKC is Lincoln’s compact SUV, and like its sedan sibling, it’s good looking and good fun to drive. As with the MKZ, a panoramic sunroof is standard equipment on all but the entry-level MKZ Premiere.

Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class

Like the aforementioned Audi A3, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is an entry-level luxury car, and it’s a very good one, mimicking the style and décor of bigger Benzes on a smaller scale. And like the bigger Benzes, many luxury features are optional, including the panoramic roof, which adds $1,480 to the price of the CLA250. But when you consider that the CLA250 starts just over $33k, you’ll see that it’s a great deal for a Benz, even with the extra-cost roof.

Volvo XC90

There’s a lot to like about Volvo’s big SUV, from the high-tech engines under the hood to the tablet-like infotainment interface on the dashboard, but one of the highlights is the elegant simplicity of its Scandinavian design. The XC90’s unique interior is best enjoyed under natural light, and naturally Volvo is eager to show it off—so it’s no surprise that a panoramic sunroof comes standard on all versions of the XC90.
