Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Cons: Interior of doors
Advice: Know what you're buying this is not your Father's CaddyI love this car more than any other car including other caddy’s that I have owned. Have put on over 7k in mileage in 3 months and other than some vibration noise from the driver window it has been flawless. I have driven in all conditions no problem with glare as mentioned in the other review. Nor at 6” have I hit my head going over a bump. Two friends both of whom are BMW and Audi owners have driven it and gave it high marks.
Pros: Bose Sound system is top notch
Advice: Avoid at all costAvoid the car at all costs. First, visability on a bright day is a major issue. The design of the windshield and dashboard lead to signifcant relfections that at best distract the driver and at worst blind them. Night time vision is fine. Second, the ride. The car may have been tested on the race tracks of Germany; however, it wasn't tested on the city streets of major American cities. Make sure you are tightly strapped in with your seatbelts because the bumps of city streets could cause you to hit the ceiling. Within 24 hours of purchase, I requested a return of my Oldsmobile Intrigue, whose ride was much better in the city along with a refund of cash paid. A got a verbal NO from the dealer but no response to a dealer. A formal complaint on the visibility issue is being filed with the Highway Safety and Comsumer Product Safety agencies. Again, safe yourself a lot of grief. Look elsewhere for your next car.
Pros: sportscar handling
Cons: placement of drivers seat up down control
Advice: Definitely Chrome wheelsI have a 2002 and a 2003 Cadillac DeVille. This vehicle black with black tinted windows is gorgeous! 'Like a Corvette for adults'
Pros: The White Diamond color and the power under the hood
Advice: Once you test drive one you'll want to take it homeThis is the most powerfull, most comfortable suv I test drove. Just got back from a trip in the moutains and I have to tell you that this thing handled the hills and the curves like a dream. I'd buy another if I could afford it.
Cons: does not have an automatic pull down trunk
Advice: include the STS when shoping comparable $50,000 carsI owned a Lincoln Town Car, my dream car, for five years and wanted a more youthful car with more 'punch.' I decided upon a Lexus(430) or an Infinity(Q-45). After extensively driving the Lexus, I thought to go home to think about the price and the value. As a coincidenece, a Cadillac dealer was across the road from the Lexus dealer. I decided to drive a Sevelle STS. I was absolutely amazed by the handling and the ergonomics of the STS. I bought the Cadillac on the spot! It is absoultely a fantastic car. It does everything I ask of it. It is clearly better than the European cars I previously owned. It's fast, quiet and very comfortable. The only thing missing is 'snob appeal,' which doesn't mean anything to me. My STS is an outstanding car and if were stolen, I'd replace it with another STS.
Pros: Overall Quality from top to bottom
Cons: Gas mileage
Advice: Check out the Denali but for a little more $ you get a LOT moreAs an SUV owner for the past 10 yrs, the Cadillac Escalade is the creme de la creme. Prior to purchasing this vehicle Sunday, we checked out everything on the market and nothing compared. It is like driving down the road on air with tons of power under the hood. The competition seems to forget that a larger vehicle needs a better engine. You won't be able to take this one away from me! And to think I almost decided not to buy it because the first dealer was so horrible! Coulter was absolutely incredible! See Dr Cooper!
Pros: sound system
Cons: fake wood
Advice: if towing this is the best big suv.....best riding 3/4 ton truck i have owned. tows 30 foot snowmobile trailer with comfort. awd works great onroad. have pulled trailer in snow as deep as 12inches without problems. i drive 75 to 80 with 4 sleds in the trailer. the bigger engine makes huge differance in the hills of northern michigan.
