2006 Buick Terraza - CXL FWD

    Pros: Memory Power Seat

Cons: Lack of storage space for luggage

Advice: Get the optional 3.9 L engine! (better power and gas mileage)

The ride and handling are great! Very good power and engine performance with the opt. 3.9L engine. The only problem encountered in 5k miles was with a door latch adjustment. It is very quiet inside and out. Excellent sound system (sat radio & CD changer). All around gas mileage (City & Highway combined)is 20.2 MPG (Mostly mountain driving in TN)Very cold A/C, usually fan setting 1 or 2 is all that is needed. Best rear A/C we have ever had. Would like a lumbar support in the seats. It could also use more storage space for luggage. Our Terraza is a Braun Entervan conversion made for wheelchair users by the Braun corporation. (Lowered floor, automatic wheelchair ramp, removable front seats, hand controls, and electric wheelchair locking device)

2006 Buick Terraza - CXL FWD

Pros: All the extras (when they work properly)

Cons: Lack of space and storage

Advice: Think twice before buying. Find someone who owns one and see if they have had any problems.

I have owned my Terraza for 4 months. It has been in the shop 8 times so far, and is going back in tomorrow. Within the first 2 weeks of owning it, the alternator went out in it. Turns out there was a bulletin on it for that. Since then it has been in 4 times for the radio/DVD player, 2 times for the ABS/Traction control. My brakes like to lock up while driving. Tires needed replaced due to bad wheel bearings, my doors don't want to open (another bulletin on the latches), it has a rough idle that (of course the garage can't duplicate that concern, but you can sit in it and feel it...not to mention my gas mileage has dropped drastically), and doesn't want to start most days (but will after numerous attempts). It's going in tomorrow because the emergency brake is making a funny noise, and they are replacing the fuel pump and fuel line pickup assembly (or something like that). That is in hopes it will fix my starting problem (which I think is electrical and connected to my radio/DVD problems). I really regret buying this vehicle. It has been nothing but a headache!!!

2006 Buick Terraza - CXL AWD

    Pros: It was the awd

Cons: the dvd player turns off when going around a corner

Advice: looking for advice, I dont have any yet I thought this was a great car.

I am having trouble with the AWD not working. it was great the first two trips to the snow, we drove into town and it had been snowing the roads hadnt been plowed but the car handled great. the last two trips the back tires kept spinning and wouldn't grip the road we slid down the street for about 200 yards. I took it to the dealer and they say there isnt anything wrong. we went again this weekend and the car fished tailed while trying to pull out of the parking spot which was wet but had been plowed and other then a few patches of slush here and there the road was clear, every time I put the brakes they would grab and make this wierd noise and the rear of the car would pull to the left. any suggestions?

2006 Buick Terraza - CXL AWD

    Pros: the new look

Cons: The leather seats and the fact the heat does not work.

    Advice: Check ALL electrical

I have had it 2 days and the blower for the AC/Heater does not work. Does not appear to be a fuse. We had driven another car same model but did not want that one because the radio was 'fuzzy'. Now I am concerned about the electrical. I have driven 3 different GM Minivans ( Sillouette, Montana and Venture) this is the first time I have ever had a problem. I hope this is not a picture of things to come. It drives great, handles great and looks AWESOME, let's just hope this is a one time thing.

2006 Buick Terraza - CXL AWD

    Pros: DVD player

Cons: Repairs - still no air conditioning

    Advice: Don't BuyTill Problems Fixed

I have had the car for 4 months and have had a mutitude of problems with it: heater control head short (still no air conditioning!!) and it is on backorder with no expected delivery date, DVD static because they forgot to install a ground wire at the factory - I had wire put in but still static - they don't know how to fix it yet, brakes jerk because of rust on the rotors, 3 tires failed in 2 mos. and had to replace them myself - warranty did not cover - can't find any holes in tire - we think the valve stems were not tightened enough at the factory - so if you buy this car make sure you have them tightened by the dealer. I love the look of the car and the amenities but would strongly discourage anyone from buying this car until they work out the problems...hopefully they will. My dad sells GM cars so I hate to say this stuff but I don't want you to have the same problems on such an expensive car. The only thing GM will do for my inconvienience is send me an oil change voucher...gee thanks.
