Cons: NothingVery reliable car
Pros: XM Radio
Advice: Buy it is a great car for a familyTest droved it, loved it.
Pros: park guide
Cons: Made in mexico
Advice: DONT BUY ITtest drive was fine...car started to break at 2500 miles and was lemon lawed
Pros: Automatic load leveling, memory seats and mirrors, standard rear doors in lieu of sliding doors
Cons: The Uniroyal Tiger Paws - Noisy at low speeds and wearing quickly
Advice: Up-grade to better tires, get the CXL if you can afford to & wait for the high rebatesWe purchased this loaded 2003 Buick Rendezvous CXL in August of 2003. The rebates were great and the dealer contribution made the vehicle a little more affordable. The dash gages are hard to read, but the heads up display helps. The load leveling feature is great when towing and/or hauling a load. The outside mirrors are 'BIG', but at least you can see what's behind you better. Handling and power is OK, but remember it's not a race car. The third row seat is not made for adults on a long trip, but for short rides it is OK. The second row captains chairs are very comfortable, as well as the front row buckets. The memory seat and mirrors is a great feature. It would be helpful to have a running board to help smaller and elderly people access the vehicle. The ride is very comfortable and seems to be more car like than SUV like. There are so many features on the CXL that make the vehicle so pleasing that one has to test drive it and check it out.
Pros: The overall quality.
Cons: Uncomfortable seating in center of back seat...and price!
Advice: Take a test drive and see for yourself. We test drove a 2003 used Rendezvous. The Rendezvous drove like a dream, handled very well and even my big guys in the back seat were comfortable. (Except in the one in the middle!) Compared to other small SUV's this one seemed more spacious inside. The kids loved the audio system and husband loved the power. The storage areas are superb! If you can afford it, this is really a great vehicle.
Pros: Quiet ride
Cons: Terrible visibility round giant outside mirrors, handling is awful.
Advice: There are much better vehicles out there, but the price is very competitive.Overall this is a quiet, comfortable minivan in disguise. The high step in height causes problems for my 6-year old son to climb in the back, but he likes the visibility and having an opening window unlike a minivan. Generally the ride is good, except the rear suspension is seriously underdamped causing the back to bounce over bumps. This can be very disconcerting when going through corners. Don't waste your money on the traction control system as it is so slow to react to wheelspin that it is useless. Not a great vehicle, but if you want a quiet, relaxed and practical van then this is probably a good one for the price.
Pros: VERSATILITY AND PRICE $19,500 BASE MODEL
Cons: HEATER NEEDS SOME MORE THOUGHT
Advice: WATCH FOR SPECIAL PRICING AT END OF YEARAfter driving this vehicle for over 3000 miles we are completely satisfied. It is exactly what we wanted. I did't want the wasted space of a pick um up...or the look of a mini van...but still wanted the ride of a car. We also wanted something to pull a small boat, and the standard base vous tows about 2000 pounds without modifications. Also we have grandchildren and really appreciate the height of the back seat...easier to get the car seat and baby in..The base model has all the goodies...
