Pros: the seven seats
Cons: it breaks down more then it's running.
Advice: Run from it, so not worth the nightmare.I test drove this car and fell in love with it. So we decided to buy it. It did have everything we were looking for, room, comfort and the seven seater. I had the car a week and it had to go in for the air. Drove it another 2 months, had to go back in for no heat(blown head gasket). Now it needs to go back in for the same problem(no heat). I've only owed the car 4 months. Deeply regret buying the over priced unreliable junk. Please buy the extended waranty on this if you deside to buy. Like I said I've owed it for 4 months and I'm already getting a return on what I paid for the waranty( and it only has 32,000 miles on it).Good luck.
Cons: THE PROBLEMS THAT A NEW CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE
Advice: DON'TLOVE IT AT FIRST. A MONTH BEFORE INITIAL WARANTY EXPIRED AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT, GOOD THING FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY HAD TO FIX HEATER, REPLACE ENTIRE COMPUTER UNIT, KEY CHAMBER MIS ALIGNED COULD NOT START CAR, PASSENGER SEAT BELT WOULD NOT LOCK AND WINDOW PROBLEMS.
Cons: everything else
Advice: buy a dodgeI have owned a few buicks and my rendezvous is the worst car i have ever owned. First the gauge cluster went out at about 5000 miles. The headlights flash very quickly every once in a while. Valves tap all the time dealer said its piston slap but gm won't fix it. Wheel bearings have been replaced 3 times and right tierod once. Hood rusted all around edges and car is garaged. Air conditioning condensor went out. radio is broke stays on full volume and won't turn off even when keys out of ignition. Took staight to dealer and gm would not cover it want 350 dollars to replace.versatrack is great but the way the exahast is run over the rearend it ehcos in the spare tire well and makes the cabin noise level terrible can't hear kids in back seat. I will will not be buying another gm product thats for sure. I asked gm to buy this vehicle back and they refused now i will refuse to do bussiness with them for life.
Pros: Driver Information Center
Cons: Poor gas milage & lack of power
Advice: wait for a more powerful engine.Nice driving car, not enough power.
Pros: Cargo space and gas mileage.
Cons: Hard to say... maybe the Bosch windshield wipers... GM original was better.
Advice: Roomy .. easy to handle... good gas mileage... quiet smooth ride.. convenientThis is a two year report on my Buick Rendezvous... Problems 0 ... hasn't been back to the dealership for anything but oil changes and tire rotations.. over 23,000 Pgh. miles and it has more power now than new... I know because of the long steep grade I have to pull every day getting to work and back... it doesn't have to down shift anymore. Gas mileage is better than a 4cyl CRV... a coworker travels the same route as me to work and I'm getting at least 22mpg and he hasn't gotten 21 yet... and the Buick is larger heavier smoother. The engine isn't as nice as the 3800 in my Bonneville ... but close... and the gas mileage is better. Being able to take all the seats out is nice and handy .. no other SUV can do this.
Pros: The Look and the Comfort
Cons: No out side temp guage
Advice: Get one you will love itLove the ride. Sporty yet a luxury car.
Pros: Seating flexibility and overall space available; quietness of vehicle; feels like driving a car.
Cons: Not able to open the tailgate without using the memote or releasing from dashboard
Advice: Was much more impressed the 2nd time I test drove (4 months in between) -- it grows on you.Pleased with almost everything after 3000 miles. Milage has been consistent with Buick claims. Quiet ride and stability is impressive. Power is fine-didn't buy to drive like a sportscar or haul like a truck. Made 4hr trip with 7 and tailgated with no problems. Need a roof carrier if using all seats for a trip. On the downside, middle seat of 3rd row is somewhat uncomfortable. Tailgate is large-touches garage ceiling when opened. Test drove in April, then drove MDX and Pilot. Purchased in Aug & got 6K in rebates which more than justified passing on Acura and Honda (who wouldn't budge on price). Hoping quality holds up over long haul-time will tell.
