    2005 BMW X5 - 4.4i (A6)

Pros: Safety, acceleration, handling and luxury.

Cons: Took a big bite from my pocket after almost all options were added unto it = $65K.

Advice: Don't listen to those people who marks down X5 in their ratings. Just be sure though that you have enough to finance it.

I have owned a 2005 4.4 liters X5 with sports & performance option and 20' wheels for about a month now. Its first week I drove interstate to Maryland from NJ and vice versa. Experienced the efficiency of its speed and dexterity in handling in I-95 in both daylight and night time. Never regreted buying it. Only problem, my wife loves to drive it as much as I am...

    2004 BMW X5 - 3.0i (M6)

    Pros: everything

Cons: no in dash cd changer

    Advice: buy it...you'll love it

I test drove just about every Mid sized SUV on the market. BMW has not only the best looking but I think the best performing SUV on the road. Just picked it up a couple of days ago and I love how it drives and looks.

    2003 BMW X5 - 3.0i (M5)

Pros: Y Spoke Wheels / Overall clean look

    Cons: Firm ride

Advice: You want to play...You have to pay! it anit cheap

From a 1996 Ford Tauras, to a 2003 X.5 3.0 (added on the 4.4 y spoke wheels seperately, $2,400). Quick and Classiy! Blends nicely into the North Scottsdale, all that, crowd...

    2003 BMW X5 - 3.0i (M5)

    Pros: auto-standard transmission

    Cons: ugly standard wheels

Advice: get the sport package (much nicer wheels) for 3.0 or 4.4 models

Went from a 540i with 4.4 litre 6-speed manual to an X5 with a 3.0 6 cylinder automatic and missed the extra giddy-up at first, but now find 3.0 sufficient and am saving untold $$ on speeding tickets. Rides and accelerates beautifully for a 'truck.'

    2003 BMW X5 - 3.0i (M5)

    Pros: 4 wheel drive

Cons: water leaks in when in rains .....

Advice: this is not your typical SUV .... it is really sporty

Very solid and safe feeling in the car . Great visibility , superb road handling through the 4 WD and great road grip in all conditions . Accelerates well ....takes some effort in starting from a stop but picks up fast . Phenomenal German engineering inside in the little engineering feats .....great telephone and music capabilities .

    2002 BMW X5 - 3.0i (M5)

Pros: HK audio system with two subs.

Cons: Windshield washer resovoir is gigantic 7.1L and I have to make frequent trips to parts department for more fluid.

Advice: Do what I did and buy the sports package, it makes the X-5 look sharper and more finished.

The most solid SAV/SUV I have ever owned and I can't wait to purchase another X-5 in two years. The X-5 just performs without much effort; my only complaint is that people are constantly trying to drive to close, just to see what it is.
