Not worth the price

Pros: The car feels very safe and solid.

Cons: Repairs are too expensive

Very expensive for what you get. The car drives well and feels very safe. Rides like a truck. Needed more repairs than I thought necessary both during the warranty period and after the warranty was up. The trim became cloudy and looked worn out before its time. The drivetrain is well built but the windows, door handles, and interior trim panels all show many signs of aging, which I did not expect in such a costly vehicle.

BMW X5 50i M Sport

Pros: 400 HP engine 0-60 in 5.3 seconds

Cons: A little high to get into

This vehicle has everything. It's fast, beautiful and has every feature a SUV could have.

Won't buy again.

Pros: I like the control panel. everything is at your fingertips

Cons: It would be nice if the back seats reclined a little.

This was our first (and last) bmw. After owning a 500 sl, i fell in love with the german cars. I like the fact when you touch the gas pedal the car goes and it goes fast.. smooth and comfortable ride. so when we got the X5 I was hoping for the same perfomance. The problem is when i press on the gas pedal, it stops to think, should I go now or wait a few... One time my husband almost got into an accident thinking he could quickly cross, which he did but the other car had to stop sharp. I have taken it to the dealership and they find nothing wrong with it.. I use the premium gas with no cleaners and still no performance. If I wanted a more efficient car I would have looked at others. I wanted a car with some pick up and go, not with mine. They also have a storage area under the trunk cover. You hold up the cover and their is nothing that holds into to place. Kind of hard packing things in there with one hand holding it up, kind of like you were working on under the hood and had to hold the hood while working on it.. they didn't think that one out.

Power and fuel 'efficiency overrated

Pros: looks

A great vehicle ...but 14 MPG ...driving conservatively Power- ok on low end ...blame transmission 1/2 gear switch...expensive tire replacement Kind of 'plastic' for money

Great Automobile with uncomfortable seats

Pros: road feel and safty

Cons: driver and passenger seats

If I had spent more time in the drivers seat, I would have ordered the optional seats at a much increased cost or not ordered at all. The detail to engineering is commendable and the performance is even beyond what I had expected from a quality diesel engine . Unsure of options now available to inprove comfort to driver and passenger.
