    2006 BMW X3

    EXCELLENT VEHICLE

Pros: MOTOR SOUNDS LIKE A SPORTS CAR

Cons: A LITTLE LOUDER IN CABIN AREA THAN A LUXURY VEHICLE

THIS IS MY FIRST BMW AND IT HAS REALLY MADE A LASTING IMPRESSION UPON ME. THE X3 GAVE ME EVERYTHING THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR; POWER, ROOMY CABIN, SUV, GREAT GAS MILEAGE. IF YOU LIKE THE SMALLER SIZE VERSION OF AN SUV BUT STILL WANT ALL THE POWER THAT YOU COULD ASK FOR, TRY AN X3. IT'S MORE ON THE SPORTY SIDE WHEREAS THE X5 IS MORE LUXURY. AFTER DRIVING BOTH, THE X3 RIDES/DRIVES MORE LIKE A SPORTS CAR. LOVE MY BMW!

    2006 BMW X3 - Base

Pros: The drive of the vehicle

Cons: Right now I don't have any problems with the vehicle.

Advice: Go for it! Its a great buy.

My BMW was originally a lease by someone else. I am truly happy with my vehicle. It is in excellent shape, and the mileage on it is way below what I expected. Again, I love my BMW!

    2004 BMW X3 - 2.5i

Pros: The way it rides and the sunroof!

    Cons: Nothing

Advice: It's nice and well worth the consideration.

The 2.5 engine was too small for this car. But it doesn't ride like an suv. I had the v8 jeep grand cherokee and there is no comparision. It's quiet and it handels the road just like a sports car should!! It could handle the bumps a little smoother.

    2006 BMW X3 - Base

Pros: Sport pkg/ Terracotta interior and Navigation

    Cons: nothing so far...

    Advice: Get the goodies!

2006 X3 3.0i w/ sport pkg. drives better than our 2002 BMW 325i w/ sport pkg. Like being in the 3 series only higher seating position and more cargo room.

    2005 BMW X3 - 3.0i

Pros: The seats lay down to enlarge the cargo area when needed so it is very versatile.

Cons: We currently have a recall on it and when I called to make an appointment 30 miles away I learned they do not service the X3. We will need to drive 150 miles or more to get to a dealer that will service it.

Advice: Getting in and out of the car can be awkward for tall people. I thought I was just clumsy until I watched other people having difficulty too. It is expensive to add a the towing hitch.

The X3 handles well with quick braking and smooth cornering.

    2005 BMW X3 - 3.0i

Pros: I love the bluetooth and BMW Assist feature as well as the panaroma roof

Cons: Could have more storage space.

Advice: Hurry and get one before they are all gone. Excellent driving in weather

When I test drove the X3 it really felt like I was driving a BMW car. It rides just like a car. Smooth, comfortable, sleek ride.

    2005 BMW X3 - 3.0i

Pros: The agility of the car, powerful with quick steering and responsive handling

Cons: Could use the 500 hp M5 V10!

    Advice: Drive one!

The engine is very strong and acceleration is exhilarating. The handling is snug and taut, the steering quick and responsive, though not as much so through the 4WD system as the 325i (what else is?). The styling, though quirky and not for everyone, is aggressive, confident, tough, beautifully detailed and handsome. The panorama roof never fails to draw “Ooohs!” The automatic control features, lights, speed sensitive sound volume control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, provides a distraction free driving experience. All controls are wonderful, especially the transmission which has a great passing gear. For me, the car is a perfect balance of size, styling, elegance, prestige, and performance in a rugged AWD package with strong engine, great handling, quick steering, intuitive controls and wonderful features like the panorama roof. It holds the right amount of stuff, 5 people with room for luggage plus the roof rack if needed. Gas mileage has been in the 17-18 mpg range. I like the functional quality of the interior, and already have a slightly plusher 325i for going to the opera with. In the X3, with it's tough vinyl fabric, I get the impression of sporty ruggedness and durability which I think is appropriate for an all-weather 4WD car. After six months and 9000 miles I still love this car, have had no need to visit the dealer and all parts including wear items are free of charge until 2009. The package is exactly what I wanted, not as big & high up as an X5 with the same interior space. You could not ask for more in a single vehicle, and my hats off to BMW.
