2005 BMW 545 - Base

Pros: 6-speed manual and V8 powertrain. Makes my 5 year old smile when we accelerate away from stoplights. Daddy is secretly grinning also.

Cons: Front cupholder could be larger and re-positioned and door lock button could be moved from the dash to the doors.

Advice: Test drive the vehicle before dismissing it over styling and the I-drive. You'll be hooked.

Overall, the performance of this vehicle is superb. Drove the new Acura RL, MB E500 and Infiniti M45. While all nice vehicles, none compare to the BMW. Secure handling, gorgeous styling and livable I-Drive ultimately prove that this is indeed the ultimate driving machine.

Pros: ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS

Cons: THE EYEBROWS

Advice: IF YOU DRIVE IT IT WILL BE THE START OF A LOVE AFFAIR.

I HAVE OWENED 6 BMW. THE 545 SPORT PACKAGE WITH ACTIVE STEERING AND ACTIVE ROLL STABILIZATION IS BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE DRIVEN TO DATE. THE 4.4/V8 IS SMOOTH AND POWERFUL

Pros: I drive, SMG, styling, interior quality

Cons: Mechanical failures, reliability is really bad

Advice: Live VERY close to a BMW dealer and make sure they have free loaners...

This car is gorgeous inside and out. The I drive is wonderful and VERY easy to operate. It drives like a BMW, nothing comes close.

Pros: Handling coupled with performance.

Cons: Front cup holders.

Advice: Test drive one, and you will buy it!

Fantastic car to drive. Definitely the most fun I have ever had with any of my vehicles. Amazing handling, and this car flies.
