The Chicago Auto Show saw Subaru introduce the brand new 2015 Legacy. With that introduction, many knew that it wouldn't be long before the next-generation Outback would be shown. Sure enough, the Japanese automaker announced this week that the 2015 Outback would make its world debut at the New York Auto Show.
Along with the announcement, the automaker released a teaser shot which shows a lot of the 2015 Legacy's design DNA. Expect a higher ride height and some fender cladding to come as well. We're expecting the new Outback to share the Legacy's powertrain lineup. That means a 2.5L flat-four with 175 horsepower or a 3.6L flat-six with 256 horsepower, both sending power to all four-wheels via Subaru's all-wheel-drive system.
We'll have more dirt on the 2015 Outback when it debuts in a few weeks time in New York.
