LA Auto Show: Volkswagen's Trio Showing

Volkswagen decided to bring a trio of vehicles to debut at the LA Auto Show. First is the Vision GTI Roadster concept which was developed as part of the Vision Gran Turismo program which allows automakers to design vehicles which can be played virtually in Gran Turismo 6. This wild roadster packs a twin-turbo V6 with 500 horsepower and can reach 192 MPH.

Next is the is Golf R 400 concept which boasts almost 400 hoesepower from the turbocharged 2.0L found in the standard Golf R. Thank Volkswagen's racing division for being able to squeeze out all of that power. There's also a six-speed dual clutch transmission and Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel drive system to actually control that power on the road.

Wrapping up the trio was the world premiere of the Golf R Sportwagen. Imagine taking a Golf R and adding about 11.2 inches to its overall length. This added length means you can carry 57.2 cubic feet of your stuff and do it with a 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds.

Acting as tour guide for these three Volkswagens, we have Darryll Harrison from Volkswagen.
