Someone didn't tell Subaru that September was going to be hard on sales due to the odd timing of the Labor Day holiday. That appears to be a very good thing since Subaru had their best September ever. Sales for the month totaled 31,755 vehicles, an increase of 14.7 percent.
“With strong owner loyalty and new owners joining our brand at a record pace, we expect to close the year with more than 400,000 vehicles sold,” said Bill Cyphers, senior vice president of sales for Subaru of America, Inc.
A lot of Subaru's success comes down to the Forester which posted a 75.1 percent increase for the month (10,620 units).
