Audi has reached the big 3-0 this past month. No, I'm not referring to the age of the brand. Instead, I'm referring to their trend of consecutive, record setting sales for the month. In June, Audi sold 13,706 vehicles for the month, up 8.2 percent and marking their second best month.
The Q5 was the sales leader with 3,493 units sold, up 25.6 percent. That wasn't the only Audi crossover to see a big bump though. The seven-passenger Q7 saw a 78.3 percent increase for the month. That translates to 1,227 Q7s leaving dealers.
In the sedan and coupe family, the A4 was on top with 3,248 units sold. The A5 family saw an increase of 13.3 percent for the month.
"The momentum seen in Audi sales month after month flows from a commitment to advanced products, careful preparation and a steady strategic plan,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America."
