The next 12 months are going to be big at Cadillac. Now that the company has finally gotten entry-level luxury right with the Cadillac CTS, it plans to leverage the CTS platform into the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon and 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe. From the crossover SUV side of the ledger comes the 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover, with styling based on the Cadillac Provoq concept car from the 2008 Detroit auto show.

Our first of the future Cadillacs is the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon. Arriving next spring at Cadillac dealer showrooms, the CTS Sport Wagon is a 4-door, 5-passenger wagon available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. A 263-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 is the standard Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon powerplant, while a 304-horsepower direct-injection version of that engine -- which runs on the cheapest regular-grade gasoline -- is available as an option. CTS Sport Wagon buyers will have a choice of six-speed transmissions, manual or automatic.

The profile of the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon is a pretty dynamic view of the car. This future Cadillac rides on the same 113.4-inch wheelbase as the Cadillac CTS sedan we've come to know, but is in fact a tiny bit shorter than the CTS sedan. The Cadillac CTS sedan's 4-wheel independent suspension carries over to the Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon, while the CTS Sport Wagon is offered with 17-inch, 18-inch, and even 19-inch wheels.

The rear of the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon is characterized by dual exhaust pipes, wild vertical taillights, and a slight rear spoiler just above the rear window. Inside, the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon offers Sapele wood accents, a 40-gigabyte internal hard drive and a pop-up navigation screen. Not shown, but available as an option, is a panoramic rear sunroof.

Cargo volume is one of the major considerations when buying a wagon, even a luxury wagon. The 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon provides 25 cubic feet of luggage space behind the rear seats, and the rear seatbacks fold down in a 60/40 split for even more hauling capacity. The rear liftgate is power-operated either by the Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon key fob or by pushbuttons inside the car. Cargo management is aided by an "adjustable in-floor containment" system to keep things in back of the CTS Sport Wagon from rattling around unsecured.

Ever since its launch as a concept car at the 2008 Detroit auto show, the idea of a Cadillac CTS Coupe has been an enticing possibility. The car you see in these spy photos, the nearly undisguised 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe, is expected to go on sale in the summer of 2009. The new CTS Coupe carries nearly the same overall shape and proportions as the concept car shown in our Detroit auto show coverage and exclusive video. The major difference between Cadillac CTS Coupe concept and reality is the addition of a B-pillar behind the doors.

If this front end looks familiar, it should. From the windshield pillars forward, the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe shares the shape of the edgy CTS sedan we've come to know. Every indication is that we're going to get to know it better and better, since the 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon gets that face as well.

This rear view of the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe shows some interesting styling similarities and changes compared to the CTS Coupe concept from the Detroit auto show. Thankfully, the steep rake of the rear window continues intact, as do the bold vertical taillights and central exhaust (although the production CTS Coupe gets side-by-side dual pipes instead of the concept's stacked pipes). While the bumper on the production CTS Coupe is virtually identical to the concept car, the mesh rear vents that flanked the concept's exhaust are replaced by red reflectors on the real CTS Coupe. The 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe production car also carries a chrome strip above the slightly revised license-plate housing.

The 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover is the second generation of Cadillac's car-like SRX SUV. Slated for release sometime next summer, the SRX Crossover gets its styling cues from the Cadillac Provoq concept car shown at the 2008 Detroit auto show in January. While few details have been released to accompany the photos, we do know that this all-new Cadillac SRX Crossover will have two rows of seating and accommodations for five passengers.

This profile of the 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover is a good chance to appreciate what a little well-placed edge can do for a design. The new Crossover appears taller than the current Cadillac SRX, and much-better proportioned. The crease that starts at the front end and carries all the way back is almost European, and a nice evolution of Cadillac's sharp-edged styling. One note to remember: Get the biggest wheels available -- as the Cadillac Provoq concept car showed, this SUV design looks best with maximum wheel and tire filling out the fender wells.

No technical details are yet available about the 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover, but it seems like a good bet that the superb 320-horsepower Northstar V-8 that's offered on the current Cadillac SRX Sport should also be available for the new SRX. As far as a base engine goes, we say why not use the 304-horsepower 3.4-liter V-6 that's optional on the forthcoming 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon? That'll really get the new Cadillac SRX Crossover moving.
