2010 promises to be a huge year for new Ford models. The Ford spy photos in this Future Fords gallery not only include the 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible, but also show you the refreshed Ford Mustang GT coupe and even the Shelby GT500. We also cover the 2010 Ford Fusion sedan, as well as the forthcoming Ford F-150 Raptor. Luxury car fans won't want to miss the 2010 Lincoln MKT, which is based on the new Ford Flex.

First up, is the 2010 Ford Mustang GT convertible. This spy photo shows a bold rear-end for the Mustang GT, and gives us a clean look at the taillight treatment -- three vertical lights on each side (a popular Mustang design) separated by two vertical inserts. That tall rear spoiler really adds cool to the Ford Mustang GT convertible as well.

Here in its coupe version is the 2010 Ford Mustang GT. The Mustang GT shown here is sporting GT500 wheels and gives only a few hints to the Mustang facelift that's on tap for all Ford Mustang models coming next year. Primary elements of that refresh for the 2010 Mustang include a new front-end design -- grille and headlights -- plus a new taillight treatment. The 2010 Ford Mustang models -- including the Mustang GT Coupe and Mustang GT Convertible -- are expected to go on sale early in 2009.

This spy photo of the 2010 Ford Mustang GT says it all. The refreshed Mustang GT -- likely showing up at the 2009 Detroit auto show in January, if not before -- boasts plenty of sweep to the profile, and indicates that the GT version of the Ford Mustang is in store for plenty of rear wing. We're also looking at beefy front brakes under GT500 wheels, at least from this point of view. Ford has managed to keep the 2010 Mustang GT V-8 engine news under wraps. The 2010 Ford Mustang GT Coupe and Ford Mustang GT Convertible should appear in dealer showrooms early next year.

Page 52010 Ford Shelby GT500
The 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 seen poking through in this spy photo reveals a lot about the forthcoming GT500. The front end of the refreshed Shelby GT500 is all mean business, with deep inset headlights and some killer meshwork on the grille and lower air intake. This spy photo of the Shelby GT500 also shows a monster rear footprint (wide tires) and a roll cage installed -- either an indication of competition leanings for the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500, or simply a precaution installed on the prototype.

Page 62010 Ford Fusion
Spy photos of the popular Ford Fusion midsize sedan have begun showing up around town. If you can look past the mad-cow paint job, these spy photos of the 2010 Ford Fusion reveal a new front-end treatment. The new Ford Fusion face is highlighted by its thicker, three-bar chrome grille and re-sculpted lower air intake. The larger foglamps ape the new headlights, which are integrated very nicely into the grille design.

While the major visual changes to the 2010 Ford Fusion are all taking place to the front end of the car, the rear is also getting a slight refresh. Most notably the hard triangular taillights will likely be softened a bit, although it's hard to tell for sure from this spy photo. It appears, however, that the Ford Fusion taillights integrate with the lip of the upper trunk in a subtle nod to the way the new headlight treatment merges into the grille.

Page 82010 Ford F-150 Raptor
Even in a fuel-efficiency-focused era when trucks are losing love, this spy photo shows the makings of an off-road sportified Ford F-150. The 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor is expected to get a beefier suspension setup that adds as much as four inches of travel and a standard electronically locking rear differential. The F-150 Raptor inevitably gets V-8 power, but which V-8 is anybody's guess. Depending on what fuel prices do, the 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor may end up nothing more than an unproduced dream from the Ford truck skunkworks.

Page 92010 Lincoln MKT
Last seen making a scene at the 2008 Detroit auto show, the Lincoln MKT crossover was just a concept car. Even though Ford has done its best to cover up the wild-styled "krill" grille treatment, these spy photos point to a 2010 Lincoln MKT whose styling remains fairly faithful to the concept. That faithfulness extends right through to the big, multi-spoke wheels and what appears to be a slight kick-up in the rear doors.

A couple of door handles added to each side are just about all that distinguish the profile of the 2010 Lincoln MKT crossover from the profile of the Lincoln MKT concept that showed up at the 2008 Detroit auto show. The production Lincoln MKT will be based on the all-new 2009 Ford Flex crossover, which means three rows of seating and the choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Based on the all-new Ford Flex crossover, the 2010 Lincoln MKT crossover SUV will be powered by a 3.7-liter V-6. A turbocharged 3.5-liter "EcoBoost" V-6 producing 340 horsepower and 340 lb.-ft. of torque is a likely option. A six-speed automatic transmission will be the only gearbox offered. One interesting aspect on the spy photo of the production Lincoln MKT shown here is the glass roof, something you won't see on the Ford Flex.
