Already representing the muscle car of the four-rings lineup, the latest 2015 Audi RS 5 will be offered in a limited-run Coupe Sport Edition for the new selling season, adding lux accents from the Audi "exclusive" program to its performance credentials.

Just 75 units will be provided for U.S. customers, with each one showcasing an ultra-premium cabin highlighted by Black and Crimson Red sport seats that are set off by Crimson Red contrast stitching for their armrests, along with door inserts made from Crimson Red Fine Nappa leather, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and black shifter boot—also boasting Crimson Red contrast stitching—and body-color inlays. Speaking of which, although the 2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe Sport Edition will be introduced in Daytona Gray and Nardo Gray, the brand reports that a range of additional, "exclusive paint colors are available to suit customer tastes."

And it's that ability to satisfy customer demand for personalization that is at the heart of the Audi "exclusive" Program, which not only was used to create the 2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe Sport Edition, but also provides an incredible number of customization opportunities for the rest of the product portfolio as well. The "exclusive" options are available on all models, and, depending on the exact Audi vehicle chosen, the program provides some 16 leather and stitching combinations for the interior, seven types of real-wood inlays, and "virtually any exterior color." Owners can even select different styles for different individual cabin features.

The Sport Edition rides on distinctive 20-in "5-V-spoke" wheels that, of course, allow red-painted brake calipers to peek through, and it also serves up 2015 Audi RS 5 performance features, including:

  • A 4.2-liter V8 engine that makes 450 hp and 317 lb.-ft. of torque, enough to cover the 0-60 sprint in 4.5 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph
  • Audi's seven-speed S tronic transmission, mated to quattro all-wheel drive
  • A comprehensively upgraded sport suspension that also reduced the ride height of the RS 5 by .8 inches as compared to a standard 2015 Audi A5

MSRPs for the 2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe Sport Edition will open at $87,575.
