Audi A4 Avant w/Sport Pkg.
Cons: Nada8 years now and I still love the car. How often can you say that about a car you've owned? Still handles like new. Like it's on rails. Every control interface feels right. Sport mode keeps RPMs up and fun factor high.
Cons: Needs more horsepower
Advice: Change your oil more than what Audi recommends you to do.I had purchased my Advant brand new and it has been a great car. Has had no major problems during it life. At the 30k service, the dealer did find a minor oil sluge problem, but was corrected.
Cons: the car
Advice: Don't buy it but if you do only lease it and keep your lease only as long as the warrantyThis car has a problem with starting. I pray every time i shut it off that it will start back up. I have had it towed to the shop 6 times. Yes that is six times it left me stranded on the road or somewhere besides home. Audi says is keeps losing memory and does not recognize the key. Well thats a big problem, when I want to get home. Also the products they use on the window switches and so on has a great feel but it starts wearing off in about a year. So now i'm left with switches and buttons with white showing through the black rubber they coat them with. At night it looks even worse because the ambient light comes through all these wore out spots. I have also had the passanger side seat airbag just deploy out of no reason. That was a little scary so it took audi 4 weeks to order a whole new seat and in the mean time they told me it was drivable so I had to drive a car around with this big white airbag sticking out of the seat. It also has had the huge problem the has plagued volkswagon and Audi with the engine oil sluge problem. That required the whole engine to be replaced as well. That still did not fix the starting problem...I'm and glad I leased the car and my lease is up in September. In the mean time I bought another car a Bmw and that has been the best car. I just feel sorry for the poor sole that is going to buy my audi after it goes to auction at that time it will be out of warranty and that car should be destroyed and not resold.
Pros: Stereo and handling
Cons: Porr Customer Service. Very nonchalant attitude and racist
Advice: Go elsewhere2004 A4 engine bloawn at 39000 miles. Nuff Said. www.loveofscents.com/audi.htm
Pros: Mute point when it doesn't run of repeatedly fails
Cons: major engine problems, terrible service
Advice: Avoid Audi, consider BMW or MercedesUnacceptably unreliable. We have experienced several major problems with this vehicle (our 2nd Audi). Our A4 has blown relays, been in the shop for over 30 days for an oil-sludge problem (blown engine, even though the services were all performed on schedule by the dealership), and now a coil problem. WOrst of all, Audi does NOT stand behind the vehicle, and move to remedy justified dissatisfaction. AVOID AUDI.
Pros: Attractive looks
Cons: Many mechanical problems
Advice: Go for the BMW, Lexus, or BenzMy car, which was leased brand new, has been in for service for 3 months. The locking system broke, and it has taken that long to repair the vehicle. Audi has been very uncooperative in this matter. I will never purchase or lease another Audi again.
Advice: buy a few extra transmissionsBought my A4 new. It is now on it's fourth transmission in 32,000 miles. At 10,000 miles, the trans started slipping at 45 mph or uphills. They replaced it. At 20,000 miles it happened again. They replaced it again. Guess what happened at 30,000 miles....you guessed it..new trans. Thank god I'm getting rid of it before the four year service warranty is up! I'd hate to have to pay for a trans every 10,000. firstname.lastname@example.org
