Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Good speed and excellent brakes.
Advice: Go for it.Very good choice.
Pros: Voice activated navigation and bluetooth phone system works amazingly well.
Cons: TSX comes with heated seats. Wished it had cooled seats.
Advice: Get the complete Technology Package. Love it!!!Test drove almost every luxury entry vehicle under $35,000 and nothing even comes close to the 2006 TSX. Being a Territory Manager I spend many hours every day in my vehicle. The quality, performance and comfort of this vehicle is a dream. I'm averaging 29 MPG with a mix of local and highway driving. Love how most all of the technology controls are on the steering wheel and are voice activated.
Pros: Highly recommend the navigation system, especially if you're a gadget-loving geek like me.
Cons: While the engine is relatively quiet and shifts smoothly, pick-up could be a bit enhanced.
Advice: Best value in its class, bar none.Great bang for your buck! While its engine lags slightly behind others in this class in terms of giddy-up, everything about this car is of a high quality. Standard features abound, including leather, heated front seats, Bluetooth capacity, VSA, traction control, and a maintenance minder. Ride quality and handling are superb, gas mileage is above-average, and since it's really a souped-up Honda, you know the vehicle was constructed with integrity.
Pros: Size...lighter and more agile than most sedans
Cons: premium fuel
Advice: great choice...does a lot of things well, without sacrifice of comfortsGreat handling, sporty, good size with sedan benefits, good economy, excellent reliability, good mileage on highway
Pros: Nav and convenience features
Cons: Where do I start?
Advice: Look elsewhere!Worst new car buying experience I've ever had. If I only had to go by the mechanical aspects of this car, I would give it a 4-5. However, this car has had so many fit and finish problems it is nowhere near the quality of a $35,000+ automobile. From repainting, to rattles, scratched moldings from the factory, to additional body damage caused by dealerships while performing requested warranty repairs, this car and its company just doesn't cut it! If I had to do it all over again, I definitely would not purchase this vehicle. Good luck if you have any problems that need to be handled at the corporate office level. Customer service is not in their vocabulary.
Pros: Standard features especially heated seats!
Cons: No full size spare.
Advice: Test drive both the 6-speed and the 5-AT see which fits your style.I was considering the Audi A4 as well, test drove it many times. The night before I was going to buy the A4 I was online and decided to look one more time at my options and I came across the TSX. As I was driving to the Audi dealership I decided to stop off at Flatirons Acura of Boulder. Needless to say I test drove it and bought it that day and have never looked back. The reliability factor of the A4 and the standard features on the TSX made my decision easier. Flatirons Acura is a First class dealership as well, highly recommended.
Pros: In-dash 6 disc CD changer
Cons: Heated front seats (I live in Florida, so it's rarely needed)
Advice: Just enjoy it and keep up with the maintenance scheduleI bought the car with 149 miles on it in April of 2004. Now, a year and a half later it has 53,000 miles on it. So far, it's been extremely reliable, comfortable, and economical. It's quiet, quick enough to make driving fun and handles great. There has not been any repairs needed. The stereo works well, the power equipment works like new. The leather seats are in like new shape. I've driven it to California and back to Florida last year. This year, we drove it all through New England and made close to 30 mpg on the highway. Highly recommended!
