Pros: Leather interior
Cons: little storage up front and cup holder placement
Advice: Get it, buy the spoiler tint the windows and you got a great looking great perfoming car.For the price I think this is the best car out there. I was deciding between an RSX S type and a Celica. With a more powerful engine, better standard features, better warranty and about 3 to 5 thousand dollars less you can not go wrong with this car.
Pros: The turbo-like iVTEC rush @ 6000 RPMs. Big Grin Factor!!
Cons: 16' wheels. With 205/55R16's this car is under-tired.
Advice: Plunk down another $1800 for aftermarket 225/50R18 tires & wheelsComfortable, fast, sporty, and a 9.8 out of ten on the fun-to-drive meter. An excellent value in its price range. It may well spank some 'sporty' cars costing twice as much. Just love Acura's attention to detail in the way the climate control dials (for instance) snick through each detente. Buttery smooth 6-speed. A huge aftermarket of go-fast parts will develop for this car over time.
Pros: smooth engin feed
Cons: seat wouldn't hold you on tight turns
Advice: get itQuick and smooth
Pros: The interior is great
Cons: The styling although nice is a little boring
Advice: Give it a test drive and you will be sold on it!This car is very comfortable, powerful and quick! I did my research and tested many cars in the same price range and none come close to the RSX for the money. Great buy!
Pros: six speed transmission
Cons: sound system
Advice: Always be careful with first year modelsI've owned this car now for 15,000 miles, and each one has been smooth and pleasureable. The six speed transmission is a joy to drive, whether for leisure or excitement, and the sport tuned suspension can make almost any type of driving comfortable. This car is sexy, sporty and reliable. I couldn't be happier with my choice.
Pros: Acceleration and handling
Cons: 2nd gear sticks, car has stalled in 2nd gear at ~ 5k rpms, no heated seats
Advice: Get the Type SAt first glance, the RSX does appear to be a luxury civic. I found it to be slightly more sophisticated though. After getting inside though, that sophistication became very apparent. Everything is near perfect on the inside... gauges, stereo and hvac controls, extremely comfortable leather seats. Considering it's an Acura, they could have offered heated seats. It's nice they included just about every other amenity though. Driving is pure pleasure... the smaller leather wrapped steering wheel is very precise. Acceleration is superb, one of the reasons why I purchased the Type S. The 6 speed manual is very smooth, but it seems to feel less smooth shifting moving into 2nd from 1st, and the car has stalled 3 times in second gear (at about 5k - 6k rpms) while accelerating onto the freeway. This is a disappointment considering Acura's reputation for quality, not to mention a safety concern. Assuming this is an isolated incident and Acura's warranty covers the repair, I have no regrets.
Pros: The engine, I-VTEC 4 cylinder with 200 horses
Cons: Why couldn't the Type S come standard with fog lights? They are expensive to add-on later.
Advice: BUY IT!The Test Drive was great. I was extremely impressed with the ride quality and comfort. As soon as my test drive was over I knew that this was the car for me, and it definitely has some horsepower!
